Privacy Policy
Effective date: not yet published
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how TradeMaker's operating company processes personal information when you visit TradeMaker, create an account, use paper-trading features, subscribe, contact support, or exercise a privacy right. It does not cover independent third-party sites or services.
2. Information we collect
We collect account details (name, email address, password hash, verification and authentication records); subscription and transaction records (plan, payment status, invoices, Stripe customer and subscription references); service content (paper portfolios, simulated orders, settings, reports, and support requests); technical and security information (IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, session identifiers, logs, and audit events); and communications you send us.
We receive payment information from Stripe only in the form needed to administer your subscription. Stripe, not TradeMaker, processes card details. We do not request or collect brokerage account credentials for this paper-trading launch.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to provide and secure accounts, authenticate users, deliver verification and recovery emails, create isolated workspaces, process subscriptions, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain audit and financial records, comply with legal obligations, and improve the reliability and usability of the service. We do not sell personal information or use it to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
4. When we disclose information
We disclose information to service providers that process it on our instructions, including infrastructure, transactional email, payment, customer-support, monitoring, and security providers. We may also disclose information when required by law; to protect users, the public, or our rights; in connection with a corporate transaction; or with your direction or consent. We require service providers to use information only for permitted services and to protect it appropriately.
5. Cookies and similar technology
We use necessary cookies or similar session technology to keep you signed in, prevent abuse, and protect the service. We do not use advertising cookies for this launch. You can control some browser storage through browser settings, but disabling necessary storage may prevent sign-in or other service functions.
6. Retention, security, and international transfers
We retain personal information only for the periods described in our Data Retention and Deletion Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encryption in transit where supported, tenant isolation, logging, and incident-response procedures. No system is completely secure.
Our providers and personnel may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use lawful transfer mechanisms and appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or information about our processing. You may also appeal a denied request where law provides that right. We verify requests before acting and may retain limited records to prevent fraud, comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in the email; service and security notices may still be sent.
8. Children, changes, and contact
The service is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
We may update this Policy as our practices or the law change. We will post the revised version with an updated effective date and provide additional notice when required.
